Speaking of Waukesha...

There is a new website with yet even more Waukesha bloggers! Check out WaukeshaNOW.com for an abundance of information on the county seat. In addition, you will find four new bloggers talking about what is interesting about Waukesha...

Kudos to those REAL Waukesha County bloggers...

There is still a pulse. Not much of one, mind you, but this blog is still breathing. I've lost all my readers (I really miss all three of you). I really have only two choices... start putting up quality posts on a regular basis... or link to the heavyweights in this area and live off of their hard work. There really is no choice because the first option is just too much work.

Seriously, though, this blogging experiment of the past six months or so has taught a few valuable lessons. The first is that it is far easier to rag on the merits of an argument in the paper or on radio than it is to construct a well researched opinion that has to face the blogosphere. The first paragraph is easy... it's defending your statement that gets a bit trickier.

The second lesson is a lesson of respect. I'm not really sure how they find the time to do it... but the true bloggers give you up to date information on whatever the story of the day is. In Waukesha County, four bloggers I have found are must reads to stay on top of the day's hottest local news. Dean at Musings of a Thoughtful Conservative is probably the most even-handed of all the bloggers. I'm almost always sure that information he provides is factual. James over at Wigderson Library and Pub is the most active and the most political of the area's bloggers. I rarely agree with him but his debate skills are beyond question. Tim,at Other Side of My Mouth effectively gives the other side of the issues a voice. His blog, however, spends less time on local issues. Mike over at Spring City Chronicles has never made my blogroll simply because I have never agreed with anything he has written. He is, however, the single most important read in order to stay up on Waukesha politics. Tonight, in spite of my ideological differences, he gets added.

So if you've wandered to this site or by chance haven't seen one of the above, check out their blogs. There are those of us who come and go according to our schedules and interest in the stories of the day. And then there are the true bloggers of this area who deserve credit for rarely missing a story...
